This client, located in Marina Del Ray, had just gotten his deck waterproofed and was looking for a durable and affordable way to make it look great. This is a situation a decent percent of our clients find themselves in. We used a dark grey overlay as the base coat, and when the grey coat was fully dry, we put down grout tape to create the wood plank outline. Then, we troweled another coat of concrete overlay (this time in brown), while working the trowel in a special way to create the wood plank texture. Finally, we stained the whole floor with a yellow-colored stain to create the color you see in the pictures. We used two coats of a solvent-based sealer to protect the surface, as well. We love working near the beach!
